Lindsay Lohan sings

The album by Lindsay Lohan is titled Speak. Truth to tell though, she does not speak. She sings. I grant that her vocals is not the kind that is going to earn her a slot in American Idol. But she has no need for that. Though only 18 years old, Lohan is already a big movie star of the very glamorous variety. And that means glamour of the old-fashioned kind, the sort that stops traffic or holds the spotlight on the red carpet. Three decades ago, she might have been dubbed the Young Elizabeth Taylor. Nowadays, I would say that she is a cross between Paris Hilton and Hilary Duff.
Coincidentally, it was because of the also popular Hilary that we came across Lindsay. The gossip columns made much of the rumor that Hilary dumped her boyfriend Aaron Carter because she found out that he was also dating Lindsay. So we asked who is Lindsay and discovered what a talented actress she is, how sensational she looks and that she played the twins in the Disney movie The Parent Trap. She is now really grown up and how!
Some of her accomplishments are lead roles in box-office hits like Mean Girls, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and Freaky Friday. The former child model also stars in the upcoming Just My Luck and Herbie: Fully Loaded, for which she is getting at least $7.5 million per film. She is also an accomplished dancer who and as mentioned earlier, she also recently added singer to her impressive credentials.
I recall Lindsay singing a song Ultimate in the great Freaky Friday soundtrack. So Speak is but a continuation of what she has already started and not an attempt to show rival Hilary that she can also sing. Her young fans are probably rejoicing over what she has to offer in the album. They know best what she is talking about and will identify with her rocking, energetic style. Think of a mix between Hilary Duff and Ashlee Simpson.
Best cuts out of the 12-song line-up are Very Last Moment in Time, which has a pretty melody and Magnet with its catchy beat. But I am sure that her followers will read a lot in what Lindsay is saying in the very personal Rumors, which should be the theme song of other complaining celebrities.
It goes like this, Im tired of rumors starting/ Im sick of being followed/ Im tired of people lying/ saying what they want about me/ Why cant they back up off me/ why cant they let me live/ Im gonna do it my way! Take this just for what it is. Of course, Lindsay may complain to high heaven but nobodys likely to stop watching or meddling as long as she is making a bundle out of performing or simply having herself on display.
The other titles are First, Nobody Til You, Symptoms of You, Over, Something I Never Had, Anything But Me, Disconnected, To Know Your Name and Speak.
Meanwhile rapper 50 Cent should consider changing his name to 50 million bucks in consideration of the way he is riding high in the US hit charts these days. The ex-con who records for Eminems Shady label continues to hold the number one slots in both the Billboard album and singles charts with his latest releases. Would you believe he even has two songs and is featured in two others in the Top 10 of the Hot 100 chart. Here are the lists:
The albums: The Massacre by 50 Cent; Now 18, by Various Artists; In Between Dreams by Jack Johnson; American Idiot by Green Day; The Documentary by The Game; Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson; Rebirth by Jennifer Lopez; Hot Fuss by The Killers; Get Lifted by John Legend; and Genius Loves Company by Ray Charles.
The singles: Candy Shop by 50 Cent featuring Olivia; Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day; Obsession (No Es Amor) by Frankie J featuring Baby Bash; Since U Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson; Disco Inferno by 50 Cent; Hate It or Love It by The Game featuring 50 Cent; Let Me Love You by Mario; How We Do by The Game featuring 50 Cent; Caught Up by Usher; and Rich Girl by Gwen Stefani featuring Eve.
