An exciting collection of gentle atmospheric grooves

DIRECT LINE - Boy Abunda -
Maximum Chill Out: Escape and Unwind, Alpha Music’s latest offering, is an exciting collection of gentle atmospheric grooves.

There’s nothing better than kicking back and relaxing with friends after a special night of clubbing.

But a good chill out album has to be more than that. It has to be something that works when you’re just snatching a few private moments from a busy day; when you’re with your loved one and there’s no need for words. It’s back to soothing the soul – and music is the perfect accompaniment. Maximum Chill Out was conceived with this in mind. It’s a collection of songs from new and established artists like Moby and Lol Hammond, and tracks like Chris Coco’s mix of Insatiable by Thick Dick. You’ll find an exciting selection of music from some of the finest young artists in the chill out scene.

The guys who participated in this chill out album represent the crème de la crème of the international music scene and their creations sit perfectly with those of their more famous counterparts. Excellent artists from the UK and the US, young Finnish producers Centro 53 and Ercola, and Oktogon from Hungary. What they share is the desire to create moments of exquisitely blissful musical experience. Take the mellow space age dub of Daniel Baldwin and PCsynergy, or the gentle ambience of Substructure, or the jazzy undertones of Centro 53. Check out the joyful sound of Ercola or the mournful undertones of Soul Searchers. Everywhere in Maximum Chill Out you’ll find music that makes you want to stop in your tracks.

We’re back to the heart of the chill out experience where time slows down for a few precious moments and the cares and stresses of everyday life drift away–moments to be savored and treasured.

Maximum Chill Out
is the perfect soundtrack for this experience and stands apart from the shifting sands of musical tastes and styles; it’s a collection you will return to time and time again.

Other songs in the album are Baby Piano (Lol Hammond, Easier 88 (Erfling), Fireworks (Moby), Interlude (Ercola), Firewire (Substructure), High Rise (Metamorph), Mini B (Karanyi), Dusk Till Dawn (Soundscore), Bonne Journe (Soul Searchers), Somewhere Else (PCSynergy), Takoi Beach (Centro 53), Chiltern (Masdafarai), Cairo Clapham (Smoove Criminal), and Insatiable (Thick D).

Once you get a copy of the album, just lie down, close your eyes, escape and unwind, and let these beautiful sounds wash over you.
Eraserheads Anthology
We just can’t seem to get enough of them.

Indeed, there is no doubt that the Eraserheads is hot and controversial. The group caused quite a stir when it came out with its debut album, Ultraelectromagneticpop. Since then, has been churning out hit after hit. The group has had multi-platinum records, sold-out concerts and songs that have become anthems that somehow changed Filipino music.

Eraserheads has one of the longest running careers in the local music scene and has received numerous citations from the Awit Awards, Katha Music Awards, MTV Awards, NU Rock Awards and many more. The band has played for Filipinos abroad and their songs have been played in several radio stations outside the Philippines.

Now, the Eraserheads’ musical story is embodied in a collection titled Eraserheads Anthology, a specially priced two-CD album that chronicles the evolution of the most successful band in the Philippines.

The album boasts of 33 tracks representing the best E-heads songs from their seven full-length albums and three EPs. As a special treat, a previously recorded but unreleased song titled Sa Tollgate has been included to spice-up the collection.

Eraserheads Anthology
is available in CD and cassette formats at all record stores nationwide under BMG Records Pilipinas.
