Star Records releases Himig Handog album

The first interactive and most successful multi-media songwriting competition returns! What makes it more interesting is that six out of the 10 finalists are amateur songwriters – paving the way for new talents to be discovered.

Fall in love the second time around with the songs from Himig Handog Love Songs. Featuring Bye Bye Na composed by Ted Reyes and Jeff Antiporda and interpreted by Rico Blanco of Rivermaya, Kailan Kita Mamahalin composed by Arnel De Pano and interpreted by Anna Fegi. Alam Kong Di Ako, Okey Lang composed by Rommel Tuico and Jason Dacua and interpreted by Bayani Agbayani, Susubukan Kong Muli composed by Jan Lopez and interpreted by Jessa Zaragoza. It also includes Last Love Song and Huwag Ka Nang Umiyak both composed by Ron Jansen Solis. Last Love Song is interpreted by 17:28 with Heart Evangelista, while Huwag Ka Nang Umiyak is interpreted by True Faith.

Also in the album are Kailan Ka Darating composed by Wency Cornejo and Rachel Alejandro interpreted the song); Maibabalik Ko Ba composed by Marc Bryan Adona and interpreted by Josh Santana Stop Think composed by Aliya Parcs and Allan Feliciano and interpreted by Aliya Parcs and Narito Lang Ako composed by Chona Borromeo and interpreted by Vina Morales.

Himig Handog Love Songs will have a Grand Launch on ASAP Mania featuring all 10 songs tomorrow. The voting for Buyers’ Choice Award, Listeners Choice Award and Texters’ Choice Award will also happen on that day. Watch ABS-CBN regularly for the details on how to vote and win exciting prizes.

The first Himig Hangdog Love Songs can be best remembered for spawning the monster hit Kung Ako Na Lang Sana by Bituin Escalante, which incidentally was the Grand Prize winner of last year’s competition. Other hits from that album were Jessa Zaragoza’s Hindi Na Bale Heart Evangelista’s Love Has Come My Way, Piolo Pascual’s Kung Ako Ba Siya, Wency Cornejo’s Hanggang and Chito Miranda’s This Guy’s In Love With You Pare.
