Have you or haven’t you?

Have you seen Matrix Reloaded? I saw it the other night and I realized that I should have reviewed the first Matrix before viewing this one. It was a bit hard to follow since I could only recall bits and pieces of the first one. There was a lot of psychological – and spiritual – new-age teachings and statements that I’d have grasped much better had I viewed my DVD of the first Matrix the night before I went to watch part 2. All in all it was well worth P130! The fight scenes were stunning and the costumes were inspiring! I’m already dying to get my eyes behind the same shades that Jada Pinkett Smith wore!

I did make the mistake of leaving while the closing credits were rolling. I was told by my Morning Girls Executive Producer Louie Andrada that the trailer for Matrix Revolution came immediately after. If you haven’t seen Matrix Reloaded, make sure to finish the end credits to get a peek of what’s to come in November since part 2 did end quite abruptly and we’ll all just have to wait six more months to know the trilogy’s outcome.

Milky Way’s halo-halo

Have you tried the halo-halo at Milky Way? (Milky Way has a big branch in Pasay Road and also smaller ones at Power Plant in Rockwell and at Festival Mall.) I’m currently obsessed with halo-halo, and theirs is simply the best I’ve ever had. I think it has something to do with the crushed ice. The milk blends so smoothly into it, it’s almost like having a milky sherbet. I was told the last time I was there that the ice shaver they use came from Japan that’s why it shaves the ice so finely. While the heat is unbearable, nothing can beat a halo halo for refreshment!

Max Factor’s Lashfinity

Have you tried Max Factor’s Lashfinity mascara? This is my latest make-up discovery. I love curling my lashes because I feel that doing so really opens up my eyes and helps make them sparkle. My make-up artist Hana from Bambbi Fuentes Timog Branch, suggested that we try Lashfinity as an alternative to my regular Maybelline mascaras, "Wondercurl" and "Full and Soft," both in the waterproof variants. Lashfinity is easy to apply, not clumpy, holds the curl, and it does have staying power. An added bonus is that it isn’t difficult to remove!

Off to Plantation Bay

Next week I’ll have lots of photos from my taping of Game KNB in Plantation Bay in Cebu. Can you believe that we’ll actually be playing with the waterfalls as backdrop and our stage partly mounted on the resort’s lagoons? While you are reading this, I’ll already be in Cebu. The taping will be hectic, but I’m sure it will be so much fun because Josh will be with me, together with his cousins Pia and Tiger and their Mom, my favorite cousin Rina. The kids have been looking forward to this trip since Holy Week and finally our long-awaited Cebu weekend adventure has come!
