Mother Lily feels like a kid again in own school

Curtain-raisers:
What do my favorite comedians have in common? Well, theyre both having fun, ehem, playing around. As if all the girls romantically linked to him arent enough, Comedian A is now courting a Cathay Pacific stewardess; while Comedian B is dating a pretty model as young as his daughter. Now you know what keeps my favorite comedians young and virile. Spring chicken, yes!
Could it be true that this showbiz couple has finally separated? Its sad because the kinks in their marriage were supposed to have been ironed out last year. The wife is reportedly enjoying her newly-found "liberation," doing the scene with her barkada.
Its true that a dark-eyed actress is two months pregnant, thats why she expects to exchange "I dos" with her non-showbiz boyfriend before the year is over. Unfortunately, the baby in her womb seems to be going through some difficulty, so the would-be mother is, so to speak, storming the gates of heaven to please, please, please, dear God, spare her baby! Im praying for her and her baby, too.
In the crazy, crazy, crazy world of showbiz, how does one maintain an equilibrium and keep his/her sanity?
Easy does it, according to Regal Matriarch Mother Lily Monteverde.
"I drop by Mothers School of Child Development and be like a kid again," beamed Mother Lily whose family also owns and runs the Uno English-Chinese school in Binondo.
Mothers School recently held its "moving up" ceremony (equivalent to graduation) where Mother Lily had as much fun as the kiddie "graduates" whod have to "move up" from nursery and kindergarten to higher grades in other schools.
Located at No. 37 Valencia St. in Quezon City (just beside the Regal Films office), MSCD is a micro-paradise for toddlers who feel right at home in an ambience perked up by hues of pink and red and yellow and green. The whole place is like a big playground where even adults (Mother Lily included) experience vicarious fun and learn more about their children in the process.
Learning at MSCD is based on having the child absorb the lessons while at the same time having fun. Through close, personal supervision that comes with maintaining a low student-teacher ratio, children gain knowledge through play and exploration. The curriculum employs a thematic and literature-based approach where concepts and skills revolve around a variety of themes that provide a wide range of experiences. Such experiences cater to the childs needs, interest and abilities.
The school has top-of-the-line amenities available for the childs consumption. It has fully air-conditioned classrooms with developmental toys and manipulatives. There is a Music and Movement Hall that serves as a venue for the expression of the arts as well as an outdoor playground with equipment that encourages active play and physical development. In addition, the school features a Computer Laboratory with age-appropriate and open-ended software that offers opportunities that enrich thinking, reasoning and problem-solving skills while at the same time foster imagination and creativity.
The teaching staff is composed of highly-qualified teachers trained in the field of Early Childhood Education and other related programs. Four class levels are being offered, namely: Toddlers (1.5-2.5 years old), Junior Nursery (2.6-3.5 years old), Senior Nursery (3.6-4.5 years old), and Kinder/Prep (4.6-6.5 years old.)
This summer, MSCD is offering "A Summer of R&R (Reading and Recreation)," a month-long summer session of reading, art, Chinese language, recreation, and various activities that your child will learn from and enjoy. Beginning April 21 and ending on May 16, summer classes will run for four weeks, Monday to Friday, 9 to 11 a.m. (For further information, call 7256055 or 4120183-84).
