The Katha nominees

Good news. After a two-year absence, Katha, the association of Filipino composers, is staging the 8th Katha Music Awards at the Ultra in Pasig City on Saturday, Nov. 16, and the event will be shown on television at 9 p.m. the following day, Sunday over RPN-9. Up for awards are recordings released from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2001.

Katha members started voting for the winners last Monday, Oct. 14. This will continue until Saturday, Nov. 9. All members of Katha, OPM, AMP, Filscap, in-house producers of record companies and all music practitioners are invited to participate in choosing the winners.
