Chicken feed for Piolo

DIRECT LINE - Boy Abunda -
On its 55th year, Max’s Restaurant, the Pinoy restaurant that is now part of the Filipino psyche thanks to their original Max’s Fried Chicken (always copied but never equaled), hired the services of heartthrob Piolo Pascual as its official endorser.

Piolo stars in Max’s Restaurant’s new ad campaign Max Masarap. The team-up of Max’s and Piolo is as palatable as the uniquely Pinoy-tasting Max’s fried chicken. Max’s has always been associated with family dining. Piolo, on the other hand is an unassuming star who is considered the Drama Prince of Philippine Movies.

The official launch was held at Max’s Quezon Avenue. The star-studded event was attended by both the bigwigs of Max’s and media who enjoyed the sumptuous lunch as they participated in the fun parlor games where cash prizes were at stake and home appliances were given away to lucky winners during the raffle.

Max’s Chief Operating Officer Bobby Ocampo delivered a little backgrounder on the humble beginnings of Max’s. Carolyn Salud, the amiable board member of the restaurant, walked down memory lane as she gave the guests a photo tour of Max’s Restaurant.

The Photo Gallery consisted of the significant and meaningful photos of Max’s 55 years through which it has provided a perfect setting for family gatherings such as baptismal and wedding receptions and birthday celebrations. Its fried chicken remains unmatched and continues to be a favorite in all of Max’s 75 branches nationwide as well as in its branches in the US.

Guests during the launch had their fill of the best-tasting Max’s recipes: Crispy fried chicken which is butter-free, tender and tasty to the bones. Present to welcome the guests were Max’s board members Cristina Garcia, and Tessie Elaizar, Marketing Manager Carlo Fajardo, Ace Saatchi and Saatchi’s Executive Creative Director Merlee Jayme, VP for Client Services Gigi Garcia, Management Supervisor Beng Conferido and Account Manager Clair Sablay.

Piolo arrived with sister Paulette who is also featured in the new Max’s commercial. As Max’s newest endorser, Piolo is an avowed Max’s lover. His first memory of a wedding reception where he was a ring bearer was at Max’s Restaurant.

Max’s fried chicken can now be enjoyed right in the comfort of your homes. Contact its delivery service at 535-MAXS and your favorite chicken will be delivered pronto! Or you can place your orders at Max’s website at www.eatmaxs.com. Max’s is indeed a cut above the rest. They say, it’s really Max Masarap!
