Only the best for Regine's fans

If you have a singer as gifted and as popular as Regine Velasquez coming over (to the United States) for a concert, where is the best venue? The most extravagant concert hall in Los Angeles, naturally.
And, where better to hold Regine's homecoming concert than in the plush Universal Amphitheatre, right in the heart of Hollywood, where, six years ago, Regine gave one of her most talked-about performances.
Aside from being the favorite concert setting of mainstream artists in Los Angeles, Universal books seasoned performers, considered as icons in the music industry. Virtually every star in every musical genre has graced the Universal Amphitheatre stage, including Barry Manilow, Eric Clapton, Eddie Murphy, Amy Grant, Frank Zappa, Rod Stewart, and the Royal Danish Ballet.
Multiple-night sell-outs at Universal have become a standard of great achievement in the industry, accomplished by artists as varied as James Taylor, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Bette Midler, among others.
On September 9, 2001, the Universal Amphitheatre will again bear witness to the vocal prowess of "Asia's Songbird", Regine Velasquez.
In June, top immigration lawyer Michael Gurfinkel (responsible for Regine getting back her career in the US) and his wife Millie accompanied Regine for her first trip back to America after the US Embassy and the Immigration and Naturalization Service lifted her lifetime ban, and re-issued her visa. It was during her recent visit that Regine announced preparations for her return concerts in the US were already under way.
"Flying High" executive producer, Millie Gurfinkel, chose no less than Creative Concepts, Inc. to line produce under the direction of Jet Montelibano and management of his wife, Edith.
This same group of dedicated and talented people made possible Martin Nievera's highly-acclaimed concert at the Shrine Auditorium in LA in 1999.
Regine's performance at Universal is a treat to fans who eagerly awaited her return to America. She will also perform at the historic 13,000-seat San Francisco Cow Palace on Saturday, September 15, 2001. She previously performed at the Cow Palace with Janno Gibbs and Ariel Rivera.
The Cow Palace is the most sought-after concert-setting of Filipino artists like Martin Nievera, Jolina Magdangal, Vina Morales and even "Jukebox" King and Queen April Boy Regino and Jessa Zaragosa, respectively.
Romantic balladeer David Pomeranz, who popularized the classic love songs "Got to Believe in Magic", "King and Queen of Hearts", and "Born for You", will be joining Regine on stage.
Regine's equally talented sister Cacai is also a special guest.
Sponsors are VIVA Video, philstar.com, KSCI-18, KTSF-26, and KNLA-68.
