Mylene Dizon is determined to make it as an actress and to prove her worth as a performer. So, no matter if the female lead in Gatas Sa Dibdib ng Kaaway requires breast exposure, Mylene accepted the role because she likes the project aside from the fact she gets the chance to be launched into stardom.
"I liked the script and even if I knew there is breast exposure, I decided to accept it. I’ll just think about breast exposure when we’re shooting the scene," says Mylene who thought hard and long before agreeing to do the role in this film directed by Gil Portes for Crown Seven Ventures.
So enamored was Mylene of the role, she even talked to her boyfriend about her plan of accepting it. Luckily, her boyfriend understood, saying it’s part of Mylene’s job as an actress. And when she told her family that she’s being offered a lead role in a film but there’s a delicate scene, Mylene was very firm in her decision to do the job. She’d rather do it than let a good role slip away.
Of course, her family didn’t like the idea. "But I told my mom I won’t do anything that would put our family to shame," says Mylene. "This is an important film for me and I would do everything to make it succeed. When I was offered this role, I really liked it right away and with regards to the breast exposure, it’s part of the job."
Gatas Sa Dibdib ng Kaaway is a major film for Mylene. She would blame herself if she turned down this offer. She knows it’s a risky move but as they say, no guts no glory.
Who knows? Gatas Sa Dibdib ng Kaaway might give Mylene recognition as an actress. She gave her heart and soul to this film which pairs her for the first time with Jomari Yllana.
