The magic is in the stars

MANILA, Philippines -  Stars came out last Saturday, Sept. 6, as the country’s hottest personalities gathered for the Star Magic Ball 2014 at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel.

The magic continues for the highly-anticipated annual ball (now on its eighth year) which was attended by around 300 artists who owned the red carpet in their “Hollywood glam”-inspired black, white and silver outfits.

Aside from ABS-CBN’s biggest stars, the TV network’s big bosses also graced the event led by ABS-CBN Corp. president Charo Santos-Concio, ABS-CBN Corp. chairman Gabby Lopez and Star Magic manager Johnny Manahan.

While all the stars were dressed to the nines, a few others stood out just a little brighter than the rest.

Special awards were given to Hawak Kamay stars Piolo Pascual and Iza Calzado for being the Moët & Chandon Most Fabulous Pair. Julia Barretto, who was wearing a silver gown by Rajo Laurel, and Paulo Avelino in Dolce & Gabbana, both received the Best Dressed honors.
