Kim, Xian open 2014 with rom-com movie

MANILA, Philippines- Kim Chiu and Xian Lim will open the year with another romantic-comedy film titled “Bride for Rent.”

This is a follow-up from their last rom-com movie “Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?”

In this film, Xian’s character is looking for a girl who will pretend to be his wife so that he could get his inheritance from his grandmother he calls “Lala,” played by Pelita Corales. One of the many girls who auditioned is Rocky, Kim’s character.

As the two fall prey to Lala’s request of them getting married “again,” Kim's and Xian’s characters get tangled up until they can’t no longer help but fall for each other despite their differences.

The film also stars Tirso Cruz III, Matt Evans, Empoy, and Martin del Rosario.

“Bride for Rent” is directed by Mae Czarina Cruz and will be in cinemas January 15.
