Kapuso at Kadayawan
DAVAO CITY , Philippines — GMA Network treated Davaoeños to a fun-filled Kadayawan Festival with some of the brightest Kapuso stars during Kapuso Day, Marian Rivera Fans Day and the Float Parade on Aug. 17 and 18.
Present were Anna Karenina stars Barbie Forteza, Joyce Ching, Krystal Reyes and Derrick Monasterio.
My Husband’s Lover stars Carla Abellana, Dennis Trillo, Tom Rodriguez and Bettina Carlos, on the other hand, drew a large crowd in the Kapuso Barangayan at Brgy. Rafael Castillo Covered Court and the Kapuso Mall Show at the Kadayawan Hall of NCCC Mall.
The Kapuso Day culminated with the presence of Primetime Queen Marian Rivera at the Gaisano Mall, serving as the highlight of the Kapuso Network’s participation in this year’s Kadayawan.
The excitement reached fever pitch as soon as Marian took the stage. And the FHM’s Sexiest Woman 2013 did not disappoint the crowd with her impressive song and dance numbers.
The Kapuso Fans Day included activities such as the Act-Like-Marian Rivera Challenge, The Marian Rivera Look-Alike Contest, Dance Like Marian and the search for the Most Unique Memorabilla of Marian. Host Boobay was visibly overwhelmed by the warm welcome extended to them by Davaoeños.
The following day, Aug. 18, Akin Pa Rin Ang Bukas stars Cesar Montano, Lovi Poe, Rocco Nacino, Solenn Heussaff and Charee Pineda led the Kapuso float in the annual parade held in major streets of Davao City.
