Coast Guard rescues Swiss diver in Occidental Mindoro

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) rescued a 30-year-old female Swiss diver who experienced difficulty in breathing after a series of diving activities in Occidental Mindoro over the weekend.

In a statement, the PCG said its sub-station in Sablayan conducted medical evacuation procedures for the diver, whose name was not disclosed.

The boat owner’s daughter, Nicole Obias, requested the PCG for medical evacuation, citing the diver’s condition.

The PCG picked up the diver and brought her to the town’s district hospital for assessment and treatment.
