2011 season of MS Motosuit Motocross Series to kick off in Borbon

- Caecent No-ot Magsumbol -

CEBU, Philippines - This year's edition of the annual MS Motosuit Motocross Series billed as '1st Mayor Bernard “Butch” Sepulveda Motocross Cup' will take off this Sunday in the municipality of Borbon.

Seigfred Ornopia, the designated racetrack designer, has designed a course that is very challenging to the riders, combining natural and man-made terrains.

Being the first race of the year and the first time for Borbon to host a leg under this series, event organizer Gitoy Ornopia anticipates a huge turnout of entries.

With that, the local government of Borbon led by Mayor Butch Sepulveda along with Floro Aklan, Rolando Bukog and Brgy. Capt. Gonzalo Calatrava assured the organizers, the riders and guests of their safety by enforcing tight security.

After Borbon, this Castrol Power 1-presented event will shift to Liloan for the second leg dubbed as the "10th Barangay Captain Manuel Wagas Motocross Cup' on January 30.

MS Motosuit's second offering for 2011 is sponsored by Congressman Raymond Mendoza, Mayor Duke Frasco, Keinrich Developer, Norkis and Sunriser.

The third leg, on the other hand, will be staged in Dalaguete, which plays host to the race for the first time in six years.

Named as the 1st Mayor Ronald Sesante Motocross Competition, the third leg is supported by the Cebu Countryside Developer, Jonadel’s Inn and Resort.

The rest of the schedule is still being finalized as of the moment.

Last year, MS Motosuit featured a total of eight legs spread in different areas of Cebu Province. (FREEMAN)
