Western Wats-1, Teletech start hot in Inter-Call Center hoop
Western Wats-1 and Teletech kicked off their respective title bids on a bright note in the 2008 Inter-Call Center Basketball Tournament at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.
Western Wats-1 rode on a solid endgame finish to eke out a 45-42 victory over Calltek, 45-42. In sharp contrast, Teletech had little trouble in thrashing Icomm, 67-55.
Western Wats-1 enjoyed a 29-24 lead at the bend, but was limited to just four points in the third period, allowing Calltek to pull away and seize the driver’s seat, 36-33, entering the final quarter.
Western Wats-1, however, shot back to life in the closing minutes of the game to turn the tables on the gritty Calltek.
On the other hand, it was a double celebration for Teletech as its bet Maria Dolores Dembrosi romped away with the 2008
