A municipal employee of Carmen town hung himself inside his room in barangay Dawis Norte, Carmen town, late Sunday evening, after his wife allegedly left him.
Johan Bentoy, 22, a newly-hired computer technician of the said municipality, and a resident of the place, hung himself with a nylon rope inside his room.
Initial investigation conducted by the responding police led by SPO2 Pascual Mendoza Jr., revealed that Bentoy's cousin and neighbor Gery Basan reported to the Carmen police that they found Bentoy dead about 11 p.m. last Sunday.
Police said Bentoy and his wife, a third year nursing student, live apart since they were married secretly last June after her parents forbade their relationship.
Lately it was reported that she has been avoiding him.
Bentoy is living with his relatives after his father died, his wife is living with her parents.
