Making bottlefeeding replicate breastfeeding

The teat has a flat underside to ensure that the baby correctly positions his tongue, encouraging a milking action to widen his jaw for correct tooth development.

The teat’s slender neck and vent help reduce the amount of air the little one swallows, which in turn minimizes infant colic.

The angled surface encourages the baby to suck the milk, exercising its lower jaw. The teat’s hole is angled upwards so it points toward the baby’s palate and mixes with saliva for good digestion.

The angled shape of the teat supports the upper lip and acts as an anchor for the milking action of the lower jaw.

All NUK teats have an air vent on the upper side to regulate air pressure in the bottle. This prevents the teat from collapsing and the baby from swallowing air.
