Filipino pharma leaders on H&L
The July issue of H&L (Health & Lifestyle) opens the doors of the Philippine pharmaceutical industry for the public to know its ins and outs, ups and downs, issues and challenges, and most importantly, some of the bright local talents responsible for the phenomenal growth and success of the industry.
In this month’s issue, H&L recognizes and takes pride in today’s new breed of Filipino presidents and general managers of national and multinational pharmaceutical companies who are proving themselves worthy of occupying the top positions.
This new breed of Filipino pharma CEOs are John Dumpit of Therapharma (a division of Unilab), Carlito Realuyo of Sanofi-Aventis, Dr. Joselito Sta. Ana of Sanofi-Pasteur, Meneleo Hernandez of Eli Lilly, and German Panghulan of Corbridge.
With the continuous recognition of the Filipino managers as world-class, it is expected that many other Pinoy GMs would rise to the top of the pharmaceutical corporate ladder.
Other Filipino GMs also heading some of the industry’s multinational companies include Albert Mateo of Pfizer
Among multibillion-peso Filipino companies, two CEOs who are both successfully leading their companies alongside the multinationals are Manuel Salasar of Pascual Laboratories, and Rudy Runes, founding president and chairman of the Natrapharm Group of Companies.
H&L also turns on the spotlight not only on the bosses but also on the lives of the industry’s people as well. An industry expert gave his opinion on the characteristics that the new breed of medical representatives should possess, while a human resource manager of a pharmaceutical company gives light on human “piracy” that is happening in the industry.
On a lighter note, the magazine features an exciting set of wardrobe specifically fitted for the work and lifestyle of pharmaceutical representatives, and a dream house built from hard work of a couple who works in the industry.
H&L is available in National Bookstores, Mercury Drug, and other leading newsstands nationwide. For subscription inquiries, contact the circulation department at (02) 813-5433.
