DoubleDragon tops off Hotel101-Madrid

MANILA, Philippines — DoubleDragon Corp. has completed the structural framework of the 680-room Hotel101-Madrid, putting it on track for full completion by the end of the year.
The listed property developer owned by Edgar “Injap” Sia II and Tony Tan Caktiong has topped off Hotel101-Madrid in just 11 months from the start of construction.
It is targeted for full completion in December 2025 in time for the F1 Grand Prix in Madrid, which will debut in 2026.
Located in a 6,593 square-meter prime commercial property, the project is set to become one of the top five largest hotels in Madrid.
DoubleDragon said Hotel101-Madrid is surrounded by major landmark buildings and is a few minutes-walk to the Valdebebas Train Station, IFEMA convention complex and Real Madrid Sports Complex.
Spain is one of the first three locations of Hotel101 overseas projects, which also include Japan and the United States.
Hotel101’s long term vision is to have one million rooms, operating in over 100 countries worldwide.
As a first step, Hotel101 has identified the first 25 priority countries for expansion which also include United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, India, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Mexico, South Korea, Australia, Canada, Switzerland, Turkey, Italy, Germany, France and Saudi Arabia.
DoubleDragon has organically developed a novel asset-light concept and highly unique business model in Hotel101.
Hotel101’s asset-light concept allows the company to generate revenue and income twice, first from the pre-selling of the condotel units, then second after the project is constructed, it generates long term recurring revenue from the enrolled units in operating the hotel.
DoubleDragon aims to make Hotel101 the largest hotel company in the Philippines and simultaneously become one of the top five hotel companies in the world.
