Meralco named top employer

MANILA, Philippines - Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) was recently named the Top Employer Organization at the 2012 Asia CEO Awards held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila.

Given to the most outstanding employer organization, the yearly recognition is open to any Philippine-based organization that achieved exceptional employer successes while overseeing a business enterprise either within or outside the Philippines.

The accomplishment demonstrates Filipino or mixed Filipino/expatriate management talent performing at the highest standards and is recognized as internationally significant.

Considered one of the most prestigious in the region, the Asia CEO Awards highlights leadership excellence in the Philippines and recognizes extraordinary leaders who have demonstrated outstanding achievement for their organizations.

Trade and Industry Secretary Gregory L. Domingo read a message from President Aquino during the affair which brought together senior leaders in the Philippines to recognize the accomplishments of individuals and organizations that have done the most to develop the economic capacity of the country.
