Franchising forum tackles new trends

MANILA, Philippines -  Philippine Franchising guru Armando “Butz” O. Bartolome, in partnership with SM City Bacolod, the Franchise Institute of the Philippines (FIP) and the International Academy of Management and Economics (IAME), will spearhead the “1st Nego Franchise Show for 211” slated on March 10 to 13 at SM City Bacolod.

The first-ever franchise show in the South will have for its theme, “Learn and Experience New Business Trends in Franchising” and aims to acquaint entrepreneurs with the latest trends in the franchising business.

Bartolome, president of GMB Franchise Developers and the Philippines’ most sought-after resource authority in franchising, said the four-day event forms part of his nationwide tour of the country’s key cities to help aspiring entrepreneurs learn the latest trends in the franchise business while educating the public on responsible franchising and the intricacies of the business.

A strong advocate of responsible franchising, Bartolome who has over 30 years of experience in assisting entrepreneurs develop effective franchise programs here and abroad, has conducted franchising seminars not only nationwide but also in neighboring Asian countries and in the Middle East. He currently hosts a Filipino-Chinese business show on IBC 13 and writes a column in the Business Mirror.

Aside from the latest trends in franchising, he will also speak on “Approaching Franchising with Confidence” and on “Tips and Traps in Franchise Development” to warn aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly overseas Filipino workers against fly-by-night franchisors who are out to gyp them of their hard-earned money.
