Visa names new country manager for RP, Guam

MANILA, Philippines - Visa has announced the appointment of Iain Jamieson as the new country manager for the Philippines and Guam.

Jamieson has been with Visa for more than 14 years and brings with him a wide range of experience and expertise from many areas of Visa’s business. Most recently Jamieson served as the head of Visa’s cross-border business in the Asia Pacific region, responsible for driving international spending on Visa cards.

Prior to this appointment, he was Visa’s country manager for New Zealand beginning 2004. As the head of the Philippines office, Jamieson is in charge of overseeing the strategic development of Visa and building Visa’s brand and business in the Philippines and Guam. Peter Maher, group country manager for Southeast Asia said, “I’m delighted to have Iain on board. Having been the regional head of Visa’s cross-border business and country manager of New Zealand, Iain’s in-depth experience will be instrumental in driving business for Visa further.”

Jamieson said, “I’m excited to be moving to the Philippines along with my family and I look forward to fostering a close relationship with our clients and partners in both the Philippines and Guam.”
