FitFlop steps up drive vs fake sandals
MANILA, Philippines - FitFlop, a leading wellness footwear brand, formally wages its campaign against the rampant selling of counterfeit sandals in the local market.
According to Melody Nubla, brand manager for FitFlop, consumers are cautioned from buying FitFlop imitations which are now rampantly being sold and claimed as “genuine factory overruns” in several shopping malls and thrift stalls (tiangges) in the metro.
Apart from being tricked into buying the counterfeit products for their lower price, customers are urged to avoid patronizing FitFlop replicas as these pose potential health damages to users.
“As a reputable global wellness footwear brand, FitFlop is strongly against the rampant selling and illegal manufacture of sandal imitations. These mislead people into believing that cheap versions are as good as the original ones,” Nubla noted.
She stressed that the original FitFlop’s unique MicrowobbleboardTM technology midsole, which provides wearers with effortless and safe workout, earned The American Podiatric Medical Association Seal of Approval which recognizes the product’s beneficial contribution to foot health and significant value when used in a consistently applied program of daily foot care and regular professional treatment.
Scientifically proven physical benefits include improved body posture, enhanced muscle tone and activity, and relief from various bodily strains such as plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, chronic back pain, sciatica, osteoarthritis, RLS (restless leg syndrome), scoliosis and degenerative disc disease.
“Counterfeit items are coarsely made and claim unrealistic benefits such as promoting height growth. More importantly, they are made outside proper production norms and international safety guidelines, thus should not be patronized,” Nubla said.
