Allcard Plastics, TECO Electric ink partnership

MANILA, Philippines - Allcard Plastics Philippines Inc., the country’s leading innovator in card production has just signed a partnership agreement with TECO Electric and Machinery Company Limited, Taiwan’s leading information technology manufacturer and smart card technology provider.

Allcard, which services nine out of 10 top Philippine banks and two out of three top telecommunications firms in the country, says that the partnership will greatly benefit the local card production industry.

Marketing manager Franz Reyes, who officiated the signing ceremony at the Allcard Headquarters in Quezon City, noted that their partnership with TECO aims to bring in smart card technology in the country.

Reyes said TECO brings to the fore its innovation and knowledge in the proper application of smart card technology in the Philippines.

TECO started as an industrial motor manufacturer in 1956. Over the years, it has successfully diversified into a conglomerate with worldwide business operations. Worldwide, TECO is renowned as a leading heavy electrical industrial band and leading manufacturer of appliances, telecommunications equipment, IT systems, electromechanical components and commercial electronics.

The TECO Group is also into medical information systems, e-commerce, semi-conductor, optronics, network, software, infrastructure, financial investment, food services and distribution industries. Allcard, meanwhile, is a local manufacturer of plastic cards, used for identification and other purposes. Established in 2001, it has one of the most sophisticated card printing and production facilities in the Philippines.
