PRSP now accepts entries to 45th Anvil Awards

-

MANILA, Philippines - The search is on for the most effective public relations (PR) program and tools.

The Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) has begun accepting entries to the 45th Anvil Awards. Eligible are PR programs and tools developed and implemented from October 2008 to October 2009. Deadline for submission of entries is Friday, Oct. 30.

“For decades now, the Anvil Awards have been recognizing excellent PR work in a bid to encourage more companies to pursue PR programs that leave a lasting positive impact on the companies’ key stakeholders,” said 45th Anvil Awards chair Eduardo S. Alcaraz, APR.

Entries are first screened by a committee of seasoned PR professionals and communicators who check on the completeness of documentation and compliance with existing Anvil Awards guidelines.

A multi-sectoral panel of judges then evaluate the entries against a set of standards. From this panel’s deliberations would come this year’s set of winners: Anvil Awards of Merit, Anvil Awards of Excellence, Bronze Avil (for the most outstanding PR tool) and the Grand Anvil (for the best PR program).

Identities of the judges remain confidential until the awarding ceremonies slated on Feb. 26, 2010, at EDSA Shangri-La Hotel.

“We’re proud to say that the much-coveted Anvil Awards have already been an institution in the local PR practice. The roster of winning PR programs and tools have proven the creativity, strategic thinking, responsiveness, resourcefulness and persistence of Filipino PR professionals who are definitely at par with their colleagues anywhere in the globe,” observed PRSP president Butch S. Raquel, APR.

For inquiries, call the PRSP secretariat at 638-0010/6380012 or send emails to prsociety.prsp.ph/[email protected].
