Globe Business backs Convergence 2009
MANILA, Philippines - Globe Business took part in one of the largest multi-site videoconferencing event in the Philippines that gathered the key players in the fast growing offshoring and outsourcing industry.
It provided connectivity between the Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT) at the National Computer Center in Quezon City and Convergys in Sta. Rosa, Laguna as well as in Teletech in Bacolod, enabling live videoconference at the recent launch of Convergence 2009.
Globe Business supported the launch of Convergence 2009: Empowering the Filipino Through ICT, where CICT Secretary Ray Anthony Roxas-Chua III led the 10-site videoconferencing allowing live discussions between the CICT in Quezon City and the top 10 Next Wave Cities across the country.

Associations belonging to the business process outsourcing and ICT industries were present at the event, including Business Processing Association of the Philippines CEO Oscar R. Sañez, Philippine Chamber of Telecommunication Operators, Inc. president Rodolfo A. Salalima, and Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce president Richard Mills.
