Citigroup ranked Asia’s top financial institution

-
Citigroup has been ranked the top financial institution in Asia in terms of reputation, quality of management and investment potential in an annual survey conducted by the Far Eastern Economic Review (FEER).

It is the 10th consecutive year Citigroup has been voted the number one financial institution in Asia in FEER’s Review 200 survey. In its previous surveys, FEER used Citibank as the corporate name, but began using Citigroup in 2000. Overall, Citigroup was ranked 16th out of the 200 leading companies in Asia-Pacific.

FEER’s Review 200 ranking of Asia’s leading companies is determined by a mail survey of executives and professionals throughout Asia. The 2002 survey received responses from 2,547 people in 12 Asia Pacific countries. The survey ranks multinational companies as well as local companies headquartered in Asia and lead in market capitalization in each country.

As well as overall leadership, companies are ranked in terms of quality of their services and products, financial soundness and response to customers. In the category of "Multinational Companies — Financial", Citigroup was ranked first in terms of offering ‘high-quality services/products’ and ‘responding to customers’ needs’, ahead of all other international banks.
