Napocor, Transco TOs to be finalized next week

-
The table of organization of the National Power Corp. (Napocor) and the National Transmission Corp. (Transco) is expected to be finalized next week.

Transco president Alan T. Ortiz said the company’s TO was approved by President Arroyo last week.

"We can now proceed with the filling of the positions for the rank and filed after we have confirmed the appointment of the firm’s vice presidents," Ortiz said.

The TO for Transco as approved by President Arroyo has 3,714 employees and Napocor’s TO consists of 3,800 personnel. This was a drop from an overall 13,000 employees of Napocor before the restructuring.

Recently, the Transco board named Roque Corpuz as senior vice president and chief operating officer. Corpuz was vice president for operations and maintenance for Luzon.

The other VPs include: Rolando Bacani (systems operations) Alexander Cortez (human resources, administration and finance); Noel de Leon (general counsel); Nestor Enriquez (power systems reliability group); Dominador Geonzon (project management group); Venusto Hamoy (operations and maintenance for Visayas and Mindanao); Wilfredo Pangilinan (engineering design and construction); Guillermo Redoblado (operations and maintenance for Luzon); Rizalino Santos (market operations); and Gina Lourdes Valeros (corporate secretary).

The new senior vice presidents of Napocor, on the other hand, include Roland Quilala (corporate services); Pio Benavidez (operations); Silvano Zanoria (technical services).

The 10 VPs were also named. They are: Froilan Tampinco (sales and services); Rainier Butalid (legal); Edmund Anguluan (HR and administration); Melburgo Chiu (hydro generation); Reynaldo Santiago (geothermal generation); Eduardo Eroy (strategic power utilities group); Danilo Sedilla (technical and maintenance services); and Juan Carlos Guadarrama (logistics).

"With this development, we can now focus on the essential issues affecting the corporation such as the award of the operation and maintenance functions of Transco to a private concessionaire and the continued upgrading and construction of vital transmission line projects," Ortiz said.
