Katseye enters Spotify Billions Club with 'Gabriela'
MANILA, Philippines — Hands off! Global girl group Katseye now has a song with over a billion streams on Spotify.
Based on data by the audio platform, the pop act's hit track "Gabriela" crossed a billion streams earlier this week, marking the group's debut into the Spotify Billions Club.
"Gabriela," the second single on Katseye's second extended play "Beautiful Chaos" was released on June 20, 2025. It took 484 days to hit a billion Spotify streams, the next song of theirs anywhere near that mark is "Touch" with just over 760 million streams.
Prior to being Katseye's most-streamed song on the music platform, "Gabriela" earned Katseye a Best Pop Duo/Group Performance nomination at the Grammy Awards earlier this year on top of its Best New Artist nod.
Katseye is currently in the middle of the North America leg of its "Wildworld" tour with four members. Manon Bannerman and Filipina leader Sophia Laforteza went on hiatus earlier this year.
Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, and Yoonchae Jeung are on tour, with a special appearance at the recently concluded 2026 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
Sophia is confirmed to resume group activities in 2027, in time for the global girl group to campaign for next year's Grammys.
