Zsa Zsa Padilla mourns passing of brother Sonny
MANILA, Philippines — Singer-actress Zsa Zsa Padilla is mourning the passing of her younger brother, Peregrine “Sonny” Padilla.
Zsa Zsa announced the sad news through social media on Tuesday, September 15.
According to her post, Sonny passed away on September 13 at the age of 57. She did not disclose the cause of his death.
Zsa Zsa said Sonny’s passing has left a huge void in their family, but the memories they shared with him will remain in their hearts.
“It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest brother, Peregrine ‘Sonny’ Padilla. Sonny was deeply loved, and his passing leaves an immeasurable void in our family,” she wrote.
“We are grateful for the love, laughter, and memories we shared with him, which we will carry with us always,” she added.
Zsa Zsa also asked for prayers for Sonny and their family as they grieve his passing.
“We ask for your prayers for Sonny and for our family during this difficult time,” she said.
“Rest in peace, my dearest brother, Sonny. You will always be loved and forever missed,” she added.
Zsa Zsa and Sonny were two of the six children of the late world-renowned boxing referee Carlos Padilla Jr. and Esperanza Felipa Padilla.
Fans, friends and colleagues from the entertainment industry also expressed their condolences in the comments section of Zsa Zsa’s Instagram post.
