AZ Martinez, Ralph De Leon and Michael Sager star in Viu’s ‘The Way Back to You’

MANILA, Philippines — AZ Martinez, Ralph De Leon and Michael Sager are teaming up for Viu’s upcoming Original romantic series, “The Way Back to You.”

Production starts in September 2026, with the series set to premiere on the streaming platform in the fourth quarter of 2026. First-look images of the three stars are also out, giving fans a first peek at what’s coming.

The trio first met on “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” and are now back together for a story about first love, second chances and the people from our past who sometimes find their way back into our lives.

“The Way Back to You” follows Julia (AZ), Tristan (Ralph) and Patrick (Michael), whose lives get complicated when old feelings resurface. As they reconnect with people and places from their past, they’re left wondering if the person they once loved still fits into the life they have now.

Set in a fictional provincial town known for its onion farms, the series brings the story out of the city and into a familiar Filipino hometown setting. It mixes romance and comedy with the awkward, funny and sometimes emotional experience of coming home and running into people you thought you’d already moved on from.

At its core, “The Way Back to You” is about love, family and figuring out how the person you were fits with who you’ve become.

The series is directed by JP Habac, best known for the romantic film “I’m Drunk, I Love You.” Rein Entertainment handles line production, while award-winning writer and filmmaker Shugo Praico serves as creative head. Together, they bring a grounded and distinctly Filipino take to this story of love, home and second chances.
