Star Magic stars dominate Thai idols at 1st SEAbling showdown

MANILA, Philippines – This year's edition of Star Magic All-Star Games became extra special with the first ever "SEAbling" showdown between The Star Magic Shooting Stars and Thailand's GMMTV All Stars.
The Star Magic team, led by its team captain, Gerald Anderson, dominated their Thai counterparts led by Joss Wayar with a final score of 83-51. The Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City was filled to the rafters with electric energy from enthusiastic fans of Boys love (BL) fandom, who screamed at every close up of their Thai idols.
After the games, there was a short exchange of pleasantries between Star Magic artists River Joseph and Emilio Daez and GMMTV's top actor Joss Wayar and Gawin Caskey (the two are BL pair).
Wayar, a first-time Manila visitor, was overwhelmed with gratitude to their Pinoy fans.
"This is such a surreal experience, and I'm lost for words. Actually this might be the last time I played basketball for a while, so I'm happy I get to play basketball here in the Philippines. You guys are so amazing, you guys lovely, so passionate, energetic. Such an amazing event. Hope you guys had fun like we do," Wayar said.
The All-Star Games Mythical Five included Star Magic players Gerald Anderson (also named the Most Valuable Player), Argel Saycon and Ronnie Alonte alongside GMMTV stars Neo and Aston.
With the successful first-ever SEAbling showdown, both teams expressed interest in having a rematch next year.
