Lone bettor wins P25.4 million lotto pot
MANILA, Philippines — A bettor in Cavite is the lone winner of the P25.4-million prize of the Super Lotto 6/49 draw on Sunday, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office announced.
PCSO general manager Melquiades Robles said the bettor correctly guessed the winning six-digit combination 47-20-36-43-07-06 in the Aug. 23 draw, which carried the prize of P25,413,563.
Robles said the winning ticket was purchased at an outlet in Bacoor City.
He added that four other players won the second prize and would each take a P325,000 share from the prize pool of P1.3 million.
At least 346 bettors won the third prize pool of P1.2 million, and would each receive P3,468.20 for betting on four correct digits.
The PCSO noted that under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, all lottery prizes exceeding P10,000 are subject to a 20-percent final tax.
