‘It’s Showtime’ hits 10 billion social media views

MANILA, Philippines — “It’s Showtime” continues to expand its reach online, with the ABS-CBN noontime program recently surpassing 10 billion social media views across Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok since its digital expansion in 2016.
The milestone comes as “Showtime Online U” (SOU) celebrates its 10th anniversary, giving its audience, including Filipinos living abroad, another platform where they can connect with and enjoy the “It’s Showtime” experience.
The anniversary celebration kicked off with a performance from SOU hosts Wize Estabillo, AC Soriano, Nicki Morena, Lorraine Galvez, JM Dela Cerna, Marielle Montellano, Anthony Castillo, Anne Tenorio, Jannah Alanise, Mackie Empuerto, Eris Gonzaga, and Zeah Pala.
The hosts later joined the live audience at the Dolphy Theater for a celebration filled with music, games, and performances.
Over the past decade, “Showtime Online U” has become an extension of the daily “It’s Showtime” experience, providing viewers with an avenue to interact, participate, and share in the program’s entertainment beyond the television screen.
The latest digital milestone comes as “It’s Showtime” moves closer to its 17th year on air, with more entertainment and fan-favorite segments in store for viewers.
Among those to look forward to is the much-anticipated “Magpasikat,” which continues to bring together the show’s hosts for special performances and celebrations with the “madlang people.”
