Ara Mina breaks silence on past Manny Pacquiao rumor
MANILA, Philippines — Actress Ara Mina has finally addressed the rumor that linked her to boxing legend Manny Pacquiao.
In her interview with "Kay Susan Tayo! Vlogs," Ara said she was only linked to Pacquiao because they worked together on a movie.
“Na-link lang. Because of the movie we made together,” the actress said referring to 2008 movie “Anak ng Kumander.”
Ara recalled that Pacquiao had told her that he already had a crush on her even before he became a well-known boxer.
“Sabi niya, nu’ng araw daw, ’di pa siya sikat na boksingero, may poster ako ng Tanduay. Sabi niya, ‘Kailan ko kaya makakasama ’to?’ Parang gano’n,” she recalled.
She was also asked if the boxer made a move on her.
“Ligaw ba ’yun? Parang normal na, I don't think ligaw ’yung ginawa niya sa'kin,” she said.
Ara made it clear that despite the rumors, she and Pacquiao never had a romantic relationship.
Today, Ara is married to businessman Dave Almarinez, whom she first met at a basketball event in Laguna.
