Actress Hayden Panettiere dies at 36 — reports

MANILA, Philippines — Actress Hayden Panettiere has died at the age of 36, her representative confirmed to ABC News.

“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her — and to the millions who watched her onscreen,” Hayden's representative said in a statement.

No further details surrounding her death were immediately available.

Hayden began her career as a child actress and went on to establish herself in both television and film.

She gained widespread recognition for her role as Claire Bennet in the hit superhero series “Heroes.” She later starred as Juliette Barnes in the musical drama series “Nashville,” further showcasing her acting and singing talents.

Her film credits include “Remember the Titans,” “Raising Helen,” “Ice Princess” and “Scream 4.”

Throughout her career, Hayden was also open about the challenges she faced growing up in the entertainment industry and her personal struggles in adulthood.

In May, she released her memoir, “This Is Me: A Reckoning,” in which she reflected on her life, career and experiences in the spotlight.
