'We deserve some privacy': Bea Alonzo to 'gatekeep' married life with Vincent Co

MANILA, Philippines — She may be one of the biggest names in Philippine showbiz, but newly-wed Bea Alonzo fully intends to continue keeping her relationship with Vincent Co private.
The actress and the Puregold executive tied the knot last month in a civil wedding officiated by Makati Mayor Nancy Binay.
Now going as Bea Alonzo-Co, Bea made her first public appearance since the intimate ceremony for the launch of a beauty milk she endorses in Bonifacio Global City.
Bea later spoke to members of the media to briefly explain why she and Vincent opted to have a quick and quiet wedding.
"At that point I felt like I wanted [the event] to be mine, that's it. I wanted it to be about us and no one else," she said, adding that the ceremony wasn't supposed to be a surprise. "It felt like... the moment was ours."
During her first public appearance as Bea Alonzo-Co, the actress unconciously posed for photos showing off both her wedding and engagement rings, something that Philstar.com asked her about in an exclusive interview.
Bea made it clear she was not trying to blatantly show her rings but acknowledged that many will be curious about it since she is a public figure.
"Obviously it's part of who I am and part of my life now, but there are things I would like to keep private because my husband is a very private person, not a showbiz personality. So I think he deserves some privacy," she said.
The actress ended agreeing with Philstar.com's comments that some things need to be gatekept, "Yes, totoo!"
