Kim Chiu wins Best Global Star at Korea's iMBC Awards

MANILA, Philippines — Actress Kim Chiu added another international recognition to her growing list of achievements after being named Best Global Star at the iMBC Awards in South Korea.
The actress and television host topped the vote-based category, besting Thai actresses Rachanun Mahawan and Tipnaree Weerawatnodom, who placed second and third, respectively.
Kim's love team partner, Paulo Avelino, also made it to the top five, ranking fifth in the category, according to the awards event.
South Korean stars Byeon Woo-seok and IU led the iMBC Awards winners after taking home the Best Actor and Best Actress honors, respectively.
Following her victory, Kim expressed her gratitude to her supporters.
“Maraming, maraming salamat po!” she wrote on X on Monday.
The recognition adds to Kim's growing presence among international audiences, particularly following her projects with Paulo.
The iMBC Awards is an annual awards program organized by iMBC Entertainment, the digital media arm of Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC), one of South Korea’s major broadcasting networks.
