Chito Miranda to bring rock hits to monthly concert series

MANILA, Philippines — "Nandito na si Chito." Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda takes on the solo spotlight as the featured artist in the monthly concert series in Entertainment City.
Chito is the featured artist on City of Dreams Manila's CenterPlay, a monthly concert series that features the country's well-known Original Pilipino Music (OPM) artists.
The rock star will take the CenterPlay stage on August 19 at 9:30 p.m.
Chito began his journey in the local rock scene in the 1990s when Parokya ni Edgar regularly performed at Club Dredd, one of Manila’s popular rock venues at the time.

Among the band's most popular songs are “Buloy,” “Harana,” “Halaga,” and “Silvertoes.”
Over the years, Chito and Parokya ni Edgar also received several recognitions, including an MTV Southeast Asian Music Video Award for “Harana” in 1999 and an induction into the Eastwood City Walk of Fame in 2017.
Chito’s upcoming show follows previous performances by several established OPM artists, including Randy Santiago, Janno Gibbs, Raymond Lauchengco, Vina Morales, Ice Seguerra, Gabby Concepcion, Ian Veneracion and Nina.
The venue also features resident bands Rhythm Nation, Highschool Playlist, and Dawn of Eve, which perform on a rotating schedule from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m.
Guests can reserve seats or tables starting at P3,500 per person, inclusive of consumables, such as bar snacks, burgers, fries and beverages. VIP couch seating is also available for groups of four and eight.
