Wedding reveal? Barbie Forteza headlines new Regal comedy

MANILA, Philippines — It appears wedding bells aren't ringing yet for Barbie Forteza, at least not in real life.
The actress caught the attention of fans after posting a series of photos of herself in a bridal gown while inside a church.
"I've waited for this for so long," Barbie captioned her post. "Nobody can ruin my big day."
Not many were convinced that Barbie might be tying the knot, assuming instead that the pictures might be promotions for an upcoming project.
The latter was soon confirmed as Barbie will be leading the cast of Regal Entertainment's upcoming comedy movie "Saving Cherry."
The film follows the titular character, a conservative and devoted woman played by Barbie, who has saved her virginity for her wedding night — that is until she catches her husband-to-be, portrayed by Khalil Ramos, cheating on her.
The cheating partner tries to make amends but Cherry instead heads out on a roadtrip with her bridesmaids and the wedding planner with plans to "pop her cherry" on her own terms.
Rounding out the main cast are Mika Salamanca, AC Bonifacio, Mikee Quintos, and Sassa Gurl — all of whom commented on Barbie's initial post.
"Saving Cherry" will be directed by Ivan Andrew Payawal, whose past credits include "Gameboys," "Love at First Spike," and most recently, "Miss Behave."
