Matet de Leon calls out 'Kuya' Ian for 'mistakes, unread chats'

MANILA, Philippines — Actress Matet de Leon addressed her older brother Ian, the latest in their family's dispute regarding the estate of matriarch Nora Aunor.
Ian is Nora's only biological son with fellow actor Christopher de Leon. The former celebrity couple adopted Matet and three other siblings, Lotlot, Kiko, and Kenneth, before dissolving their marriage in 1996.
Following Nora's death in April last year, discussions were raised within the family and by fans about her inheritance. Ian has said in interviews that he is legally the sole heir but was willing to divide any inheritance with his siblings.
Lotlot, the eldest of Nora's adopted children, recently traded barbs with Ian over supposed talks regarding a one-person corporation, which would oversee their late mother's estate.
She claimed Ian never approached them about establishing the one-person corporation despite Ian saying he did, even bringing up a Zoom meeting that he alleged Matet took part in.
Matet has mostly steered clear of directly addressing the issue, only hinting at the topic with photos and social media posts, such as a pair posted on the morning of June 24.
In an initial post, the actress acknowledged negative comments being hurled at her and her siblings, particularly those who post with Bible verses attached.
"Tandaan ninyo, kami parin ang nananalo. Matakot kayo sa gaba ng Diyos," Matet said. "Yes. Ganyan ako katapang humirit ng ganyan. Kilala namin ang sarili namin. Kayo ang nagkakasala. Hindi kami. Babalik at babalik sa inyo ang ginagawa ninyo."
A second post shared an hour later indicated that much about the issue have not been revealed to the public since it doesn't concern them.
"'Pag nalaman ninyo, baka maloka kayo. [Naging] maingat ako sa pagsagot (panoorin ninyo uli)," Matet said, pointing out that what Ian says is his own truth.
The actress mentioned about Ian saying in interviews that he is Nora's sole heir, which has led others to believe that the other siblings are trying to grab personal shares.
"Umikot mga pwet ninyo... Mga 'to naman o. 'Yung amin, ayoko na sana ilabas. Never kayong nakarinig o nakapanood na nag-over share ako ha," she directed at bashers. "Ang tunay na kaaway ay kayo. Nag co-comment ng kung anu-ano. Na para bang may nagawa kami sa inyo mismo."
Matet even said that her late mother was watching over as she spoke, noting Nora knows how grateful she is and that she took care of the actress fondly called Ate Guy to the best of her abilities.
She then directed her attention to "Kuya" Ian and lamented about him not admitting to his own mistakes or addressing the allegations about their other siblings.
According to her, the previously mentioned Zoom meeting wasn't about the one-person corporation but for a play that she didn't agree with.
"Sana hindi mo na e-enjoy ito. Sa tingin mo ba, deserve namin to? Na wina-walang hiya kami ng tao kahit alam mo kung sino at anong klaseng tao kami?" Matet ended. "Mukha kaming kupal kahit alam mong hindi. 'Di kayo sumasagot sa chat eh. Dito na lang. See guys? You know nothing."
