Moira, Sam Concepcion among performers at 17th Star Awards for Music
MANILA, Philippines — The brightest stars of Original Pilipino Music (OPM) are set to take center stage as the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) presents the 17th Star Awards for Music on June 25 at the Teatrino in Greenhills, San Juan City.
Leading the festivities are some of the industry's most exciting young personalities. Serving as hosts are Jayda Avanzado and Dylan Menor, together with P-pop sensation Jarren Garcia and promising young star Marthena Jickain.
Sam Concepcion and Jarren will open the show, while Jojo Mendrez is among the performers.
One of the most anticipated highlights of the ceremony is a special tribute honoring this year's recipients of the Pilita Corrales Lifetime Achievement Award and Parangal Levi Celerio Lifetime Achievement Award. Receiving these distinguished honors are musical and theater icons Celeste Legaspi and Mon Del Rosario.
Ima Castro, JV Decena, and Chad Borja will lead the tribute for the awardees.
Apart from Celeste and Mon, rapper Andrew E is also a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award. Rap group Salbakuta leads the tribute for Andrew E.
Adding a nostalgic celebration is a special presentation by the iconic Rainmakers, who will commemorate their golden years in Philippine music.
Moira Dela Torre will close the program with a highly anticipated finale performance.
