It’s fun to be fashionably insane! I have always considered my fashion a statement of rebellion and a daring way to be different, oblivious to what the fashion bullies say. Style is an expression of individuality. I believe that blending in with the mob is a mistake anybody will commit in the entertainment industry.

If you want to be a star, you have to be bold and fearless in selecting a unique personal style. And high-end fashion doesn’t mean wearing clothes associated with global brands. But neither does it hurt to wear LV, Jacquemus or Thom Browne every so often.

This is what young fashion designer Marco Vallesteros believes in as he proudly launches the House of Vallesteros (HOV) today, 3 p.m. at the Citizen Hotel, Poblacion, Makati City. According to Marco, genuine luxury depends not on the price tag but on the craftsmanship and on how wearing the clothes can make someone feel more confident and more connected to who they truly are.

“House of Vallesteros was born from a deeply personal desire to create something that carries my name, my roots, and the lessons I learned throughout my journey as an entrepreneur,” he shared.

Marco is no stranger to the clothing business. As a young entrepreneur, his initial foray into the industry happened when he founded Move On PH in 2015.

“The business gave me experience, opportunities and a deeper understanding of the market. It taught me how to understand customers, develop products, work with a team and respond to challenges. It also taught me how difficult it is to build something from the ground up. Move On PH will always be an important part of my story,” he said.

House of Vallesteros was born from a deeply personal desire to create something that carries my name, my roots, and the lessons I learned throughout my journey as an entrepreneur,’ says Marco.

The House of Vallesteros was developed and built out of Marco’s remarkable experience in his first business venture. “House of Vallesteros is more mature, more intentional and more personal. It is not simply another clothing line. It is a reflection of the life I have built, the risks I have taken and the kind of legacy I want to leave behind.”

Marco is now ready to take the next big step in launching HOV, armed with courage, honesty and an exciting creative vision. HOV is a proudly Filipino brand with a premium, luxurious identity because Marco is confident that Filipino craftsmanship deserves a special niche in the world of fashion.

Launching the brand on June 12, Independence Day, is intentional. Marco explained, “For me, the show is a form of creative independence. It represents the freedom to build a brand based on my own vision, to express Filipino creativity in my own way and to create something that does not need to imitate anyone else. I want the audience to feel that this is not only a runway show. It is a celebration of Filipino creativity and the courage to create something of our own.”

The upcoming show is called “HOV: The Fashion in Housewarming.” The fashion designer-entrepreneur’s concept is to make the audience feel they are being welcomed into the world of House of Vallesteros for the first time. Marco wants the guests to feel a sense of homecoming as they watch the collection being presented on the runway. “I want the show to feel intimate, meaningful and memorable. It should not feel like a display of clothes alone.”

Marco admitted that there are moments when he feels overwhelmed while preparing for the launch. “I am deeply involved in the entire process. As the founder, you cannot always allow yourself to stop when you feel tired. I realized that challenges are part of building something meaningful,” he said.

What’s next for House of Vallesteros after the launch? Marco replied with a clear sense of purpose. “Growth is important, but I do not want to rush the process. My goal is to build something that lasts. I want to strengthen the brand identity, develop future collections, expand our presence and create more meaningful experiences for our customers. I also want to explore collaborations that align with the values of the brand.”
