DOH sa mga 'pa-VIP' sa bakuna: Mag-antay kayo! Vaccine supply mapupurnada sa ganyan
MANILA, Philippines — Hindi ikinatuwa ng Department of Health (DOH) ang dumaraming bilang ng mga government officials na ipinangangalandakan ang pagpapabakuna agad laban sa coronavirus disease (COVID-19) — kahit hindi sila parte ng government priority list.
Nangyayari ito matapos sitahin ng netizens online sina Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez at Minglanilla City Mayor Elanito Peña na nagpabakuna agad ngayong linggo kahit hindi healthcare worker o senior citizen.

Babala ni Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, Martes, pwedeng maapektuhan ng ganitong mga violation ang mga susunod na suplay sana ng COVID-19 vaccines mula sa COVAX facility.
"The DOH further reiterates the plea of the President and calls on officials in the government to await their turns and follow the approved prioritization framework being employed by the national government," ani Vergeire sa isang pahayag kanina.
"Giving the vaccines to non-[healthcare workers] when not all HCWs have been vaccinated will jeopardize succeeding doses from COVAX."
'Violation,' ipinaskil pa sa socmed ng LGUs
Lunes nang ipaskil ni Romualdez ang kanyang pagpapaturok habang ngayong araw ipinost ang pagtuturok ng AstraZeneca vaccine kay Peña — kaso, binura na 'yan ng Minglanilla LGU social media account.
Gayunpaman, na-download ito agad ng Philstar.com reporters kung kaya't nagamit pa ang mga larawan sa ulat na ito.

Una nang sinabi ni Romualdez na "hindi niya ito ginawa para unahing iligtas ang sarili" ngunit para "mapataas ang tiwala ng publiko sa bakuna."
Epekto sa vaccine supply, imbestigasyon
Una nang nagbabala si World Health Organization (WHO) representative to the Philippines Rabindra Abeyasinghe ngayong Marso na dapat munang maibigay sa lahat ng priority populations ang mga bakunang mula sa COVAX facility bago iturok sa ibang bahagi ng populasyon.
Ang AstraZeneca vaccine na itinurok kay Peña ay kasama sa 525,600 na ibinigay ng COVAX sa Pilipinas ngayong buwan.
"We urge the DOH and all partners engaged in the rollout of the vaccines to follow these prioritizations, so we don't impact and jeopardize future deliveries of vaccines through the COVAX facility to the Philippines," ani Abeyasinghe noong ika-4 ng Marso.
Kinumpirma naman ni Vergeire at presidential spokesperson Harry Roque ngayong araw na isinuplong na nila sa Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) ang mga nasabing insidente.
