GMA, PCSO, COA officials, pinakakasuhan ng plunder

MANILA, Philippines - Ipinag utos ni Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales na sampahan sa Sandiganbayan ng kasong plunder si dating Pangulong Gloria Macapagal Arroyo at mga opis­yal ng Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) at Commission on Audit (COA) kaugnay ng Confidential Intelligence Funds (CIF).

Sa 43-pahinang Review Joint Resolution na nilagdaan ni Morales nitong Hulyo 12, 2012,nakasaad dito na nakakita ang tanggapan ng probable cause para idiin sa naturang kaso si Arroyo, dating PCSO Chairman Sergio Valencia, dating PCSO Vice Chairman/General Manager Rosario Uriarte, mga miembro ng PCSO Board of Directors Manuel Morato, Jose Taruc, Raymundo Roquero, at Ma. Fatima Valdes, dating PCSO Budgets and Accounts Manager Benigno Aguas, gayundin si dating COA Chairman Reynaldo Villar, at dating head ng COA’s Intelligence/Confidential Fund Audit Unit Nilda Plaras.

Ang kaso ay nag ugat sa magkahiwalay na reklamo noong July 25, 2011 ni Jaime Regalario, Risa Hontiveros-Baraquel at Danilo Lim para sa kasong plunder, malversation at violation of Republic Act (RA) No. 3019; at reklamo noong November 29, 2011 ng mga empleado ng PCSO na pinangunahan ni Eduardo Araullo na nagsasabing ang mga respondents ay nagkamal ng salapi mula sa PCSO’s CIF noong panahon ng Arroyo administration gamit ang kanilang mga posisyon.
