Bantayan gibida didto sa Time Square sa New York
CEBU, Philippines — Nabida sa sikat nga Time Square sa New York City sa Amerika ang kadagatan sa Bantayan Island pinaagi sa dagkong screens didto.
Sa usa ka video ni Jon Luigi nga gi-post sa Sugbo News, ang news portal sa Probinsya sa Sugbo sa Facebook page niini, makita sa 92 ka electronic billboard sa Time Square ang ilawom sa dagat sa Bantayan Island pinaagi sa pagbrodkast sa usa ka film nga giulohan nga “Our Islands.”
Ang maong film gihimo sa Dutch-Filipino video artitst nga gikan sa lungsod sa Madridejos nga si Martha Atienza.
“The film features underwater compressor divers from the artist’s native Bantayan Island who are recreating a procession on the seafloor modeled after the island’s annual Ati-atihan parade. The work is meant to bring attention to the challenges sea peoples face in the 21st century as well as the threat of climate change in the Philippines,” sumala sa video ni John Luigi. Ang maong video ipakita gikan alas 11:57 sa gabii hangtod 12am didto sa City Times Square sa human kini napili nga maoy ifeature sa Midnight moment sa Times Square sa tibook bulan sa Hulyo.
Ang maong exhibit gipartner sa Silverlens, usa ka International Gallery nga nakabase sa Manila ug New York.
