Israel, Hamas blame game on hospital blast

Erich Wannemacher - The Freeman

The media has been conned by people more slick than they are --Hamas.

As one with a police background, I can smell a rat, and this ‘hospital caper’ was just too well-orchestrated to have been a random series of events.

Two days ago, our 24-hour TV news networks featured distressed Palestinians streaming into the Ahli Hospital in Gaza, seeking shelter from Israeli bombardment.

Yesterday, a rocket fell on the hospital roof.

Within minutes Hamas reported to the world that Israel had targeted a hospital, killing up to 500 innocent people, including doctors, women, and children. Almost immediately hundreds of thousands of radical Islamist and left-wing activists had taken to the streets. They all had the same cry: ‘death to Israel and death to America’.

Israel doubted they had done it, as they were not operating in the area at the time. They promised to investigate.

Of course, everything coming out of Gaza is Hamas-controlled and predictable. However, how did so few in the media question Hamas’ reports or marvel at the speed and coordination of the protests. How did Hamas have a body count so quickly?

To me, it was apparent the press releases were prepared before the rocket was fired.

Today, the facts emerged. It was a “misfired” Islamic Jihad rocket.

The reputations of investigative journalists are in tatters. Our campuses are more dangerous than ever for Jewish students. The Hamas-Israel war continues.
