President Sergio Osmeña’s appointees in Leyte - Part 2

Don Sergio Suico Osmeña Sr., who became the first and only Cebuano to become president, took his oath in the United States on August 1, 1944 upon the death of President Quezon. He came to the Philippines on October 20, 1944 together with Gen. Douglas MacArthur in the famous, Leyte Landings. Osmeña made the Leyte Provincial Capitol as his office. The following were his appointees in the Province of Leyte:

Severo Leonardo, Lorenzo Bobula, Pedro Viador and Pascual Ponfarrada, appointed acting councilors of San Miguel, Leyte, November 14, 1945.

Vicente Emnas, appointed acting vice mayor of Jaro, Leyte, November 14, 1945.

Juan Alticen, Severo Cartalla, Maximo Recabo, Venancio Pontejos, Saturnino Perlave and Joaquin Suprable, appointed acting councilors of Jaro, Leyte, November 14, 1945.

Antonio Marqueda, appointed acting vice mayor of Liloan, Leyte, November 14, 1945.

Daniel Cabitara, Ponciano Marto, Francisco Surigao and Simeon Maano, appointed acting councilors of Liloan, Leyte, November 14, 1945.

Isidro Fajuya, appointed acting vice mayor of Libagon, Leyte, November 14, 1945.

Bienvenido Suraco, Fortunato Escabilles, Vivencio Lopez, Teodulo Caindor, Martin Lona, and Feliciano Solemne, appointed acting councilors of Libagon, Leyte, November 14, 1945.

Tito Gloria, appointed acting vice mayor of Macrohon, Leyte, November 9, 1945.

Jose Tindoy, Rafael Joven, Alberto Miole, Albino Bendijo, and Julian Mori, appointed acting councilors of Macrohon, Leyte, November 14, 1945.

Cornelio Rodriguez, Vicente Hernandez, Adriano Canturan, Francisco Molan and Raymundo Gaviola, appointed acting councilors of Sogod, Leyte, November 14, 1945.

Donato C. Cinco, appointed acting vice mayor of Anahawan, Leyte, November 14, 1945.

Basilio Ladaga, Teresa Manalao, Agustin Arayon, Anatolio Rezma, Rufino Sausa and Luis Torrotoro, appointed acting councilors of Anahawan, Leyte, November 14, 1945. (To be continued)
