Cop vows to stop going to cockfights

BETS ARE OFF. After news that two policemen were relieved after they were spotted in illegal cockfights, a policeman told The EAR he was quitting gambling for good.

The policeman confessed he often bets on cockfights not because he needed the money but because he was addicted to the thrill of gambling.

“Suwerte ko makaangkon pa ko nga na-ungo ko sa sugal, pero di na. Lisod na, basin masakpan pa ta,” he said.
