Four manila cops are being investigated for "hulidap." They're still at it? I mean "hulidaping." Oh, well, you see, this hulidap thing...once tasted always wanted. Like lechon.

It says here: "DOJ to summon INC leaders." That, guys, is still guts. No one has ever done that to INC leaders before, especially in an election season.

Government rejects move to cut income tax. That, too, is guts. Doing things like that when everyone is eyeing 2016 is guts.

Pinoys are short and they're blaming this on poor nutrition. I remember reading a news story years back when one lawmaker proposed to invite tall white men to immigrate to the Phl to improve our stock.

They're now calling Makati, "Bagong Makati." Katangi-tanging paninilbihan sa Diyos at Pamayanan. "Whatever that means, what happened to the Makati of old?

I remember the old-old Makati...the Makati before the birth of the Binays. It was a one-highway town with waterlilies on both sides of the lone highway. I was still in high school at FEU and I often went to Makati to see and ask for pocket money from my father working as advertising exec in the very first commercial building ever built in town.

There were no jeepneys then but four-seater cabs whose travel route was only from Pasay and Buendia Street and back. The air all around the old Makati was fresh. No pollution, either from motor vehicles or from politics. That was Makati of old...before, I guess, the birth of the Binays.

I missed some of the games of Gilas Pilipinas. My surplus tv set conked out after Gilas got beaten bad by Iran.
